I've only gone and bloomin' done it!!! With a total of 51,526 words (4793 of which I did in a blur today!) I am now a novelist!!! Chocolate, I need chocolate!! And a bit of a lie down!
Colin here ... the other half. I've been lurking on Dee's blog for a very long time but have finally been driven to add a comment after this amazing effort of hers on NaNoWriMo. I've just finished reading the results (she presented it to me last night when I got home from work - even Donna hasn't read it back yet!).
I read it through in two sittings and I was totally drawn into the story, wanting to know what would happen next. It's a real page-turner, folks, and considering that it was written straight, without reviewing the previous days' work or going back and tweaking it in places, it's amazing. Dee, do please take some time to review it, and develop some of the threads that will flesh out parts of the story further - you know there is more that you want to add to it ... and I think you should think seriously about sending it to out there to see what publishers might think of it.
I really loved it and I'm so proud of you. C. (p.s. - can I have some chocolate now too please?)
