FOs and more socks!

A couple of FOs this morning..........

The finished Argosy scarf

And my Lorna's Laces toe-ups. The first skein of the LL had longer green sections and the second one had longer purple sections, so I have one sock more greeny and one sock more purpley. I need to knit something in a more uniform colour next to avoid the problem of
handpainted yarn being so random.

So I have cast on some Zokni socks using the strange stranded yarn I got from Fauveline. I'm not sure they are going to be a success and I may get frustrated with all the strands and rip them out but I'll see how I get on.

I've made a start on the rib anyway. The first row was a right old pain but the subsequent ones weren't too bad.

The scarf looks lovely! You've knitted that quickly - it doesn't seem long ago that you were starting it!!

You really do beautiful work! From a distance, the difference that you see in the socks is not that noticeable. Besides, I like the randomness of handpainted yarn.

Oh, and where are you going to wear these socks? With the skirt I am sure you are knitting? Or is it short-pants weather there already? ;-)

All the yarns look good. I am interested to know if you are able to work with the many-stranded yarn. I saw some the other day, but was put off by the strands.

Great knits! The Argosy scarf looks fantastic in that colourway. Lorna's Laces is such a great sock yarn, I think - it really washes well. And I actually like the randomness!

Argosy is gorgeous, love the colours in it. The socks look really good, any difference in colour distribution isn't obvious at all. besides, that's handpaints, I think the random way they can knit up is their charm :-D
