Trigger thumb

I think this is what I have..........

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Trigger_finger

I had it about 5 years ago in my little finger but it resolved itself, so I'm guessing I now have it in my thumb. It is one of those things that can be related to having diabetes, which I do. It does say not to do things where you have to grip, errrrr!!??? Now what do I do?

The ultrasound looks like a good option, as the injections can make it worse in the long run. Even the surgery looks very straightforward - local anaesthetic and outpatient. Don't leave it though, we need you knitting again.

Okay, you asked us--be prepared!

You should go have a medico take a look and get the problem treated! I know you're afraid of bad news. Especially if someone tells you to totally rest, no knitting *at all*! But it would be better to take care of it now and completely, than to continue and have lingering problems plaguing you.

Good luck! We're sending PVs from here for rapid and complete recovery. :)
