To change or not to change.......

.......that is the question!

I'm finding Blogger a bit dull at the moment, so I have signed up for a free blog at wordpress.com. Now I don't know which one to use! I know how to use Blogger, it is familiar and easy to use, but somehow wordpress feels new and exciting! New year, new computer, new blog?? I suppose I learned to use Blogger as I went along and will do so with wordpress too, but at the moment I am being all indecisive and not knowing where to blog!!!

The new blog is at Knitsamadworld if you want to pop across and have a look. Leave me a comment and let me know which you prefer.

If I do switch, I'll leave this one up for the old posts, I don't want to lose them and I can't seem to migrate them over.

I've sometimes thought about switching. But I've heard that WordPress doesn't let you customize your template like Blogger does. And I've done lots of stuff with my template - background and headers and colors and such. So I stay with Blogger. The only thing I don't like about Blogger is their comment system. I'd say the readers will be happy with what ever platform you choose, so use the one that you like posting on the best!!

Hi Donna
I had a dabble with Wordpress, but I didn't find it as easy to use as Blogger, though that might be just a case of getting used to it. I love the new name!
Maybe do a couple of posts on each and see which you prefer?

PS - try statcounter for blogger. It's easy to install, free and gives you loads of information on who has visited and from where in the world. http://www.statcounter.com/
I even had someone from Namibia! I noticed on some of my friends blogs that they have some sort of widget which gives live stats. There's probably quite a bit more you could do with Blogger by searching for widgets online if you do decide to stick with it. Let me know how you get on with Wordpress, and I look forard to reading Knitsamadworld! -x-
